Trinity United Methodist Church nurtures its members through Christian education and through acts of compassion and fellowship. Trinity is a place where one can learn and grow in faith, to care for and to be cared for. As we learn of and experience the love of Jesus Christ through Scripture and through the care we receive from our Christian brothers and sisters, our faith is increased and we are moved to ministries of Christian compassion. If you would like to become a part of this important ministry, please contact the Nurture Committee Chair.

On July 12, 2005, the Prayer Shawl Ministry of Trinity United Methodist Church was begun by a group of fifteen church members and friends. The purpose of this prayerful ministry is to knit shawls to be given to persons who are hurting and need comfort or to express joy for a special happening in their lives. It is the hope that the gift of a shawl will express the warmth of love, hope and shared concern of the church as a whole.
Compassion and the love of knitting have been combined into this prayerful ministry and spiritual practice which reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace, as well as in celebration and joy. As shawls are knit, many prayers are prayed and for every completed shawl we have a special service of blessing.
The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm at our Family Life Center (FLC) at 4008 South College Road.
